On December 14, 2016, a conference themed on investment promotion of China-Belarus Industrial Park was held in Beijing. At the meeting, Zhongshan, the International Trade Negotiation representative and vice Minister of Commerce, summarized the construction and investment promotion of the China-Belarus Industrial Park. He also mobilized and deployed the work of 2017. Huang Danhua, deputy director of the SASAC, and Zhang Xiangchen, deputy representative of International Trade Negotiation of MOFCOM attended and addressed the meeting.
The China-Belarus Industrial Park is a major economic and trade cooperation project between China and Belarus. It is a sample project for the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt co-built by the two countries and a model for bilateral cooperation. Since General Secretary Xi Jinping’s inspection in May 2015, the park construction has made rapid progress. The infrastructure of 3.5-square-kilometer-starting area is basically completed and the industrial park already has comprehensive investment conditions.
The Conference affirmed the achievement of the pre-construction and investment promotion of the Industrial Park. Participating units will continue to follow the principle of “government guidance, enterprise subject, market principle”, and make the investment promotion as the focus of the work of the Industrial Park in 2017. The Participating units will guide more qualified enterprises to enter the park and promote the projects entering the Park to land early, start early and be put into production early. At the same time, they will make the Park into a green and international park.
A total of more than 100 people from the relevant provincial (city) Department of Commerce, enterprises and financial institutions attended the meeting.
